Liz Loughran joined Graduate Career Services in 2018 and serves as the Graduate Career Consultant for the College of Science working with graduate students, postdocs, and recent alumni. She seeks to empower students to pursue career experiences they find meaningful and impactful. Before joining the GCS team, Liz was an innovation consultant at enFocus where she gained business experience in a variety of sectors. Liz has a strong scientific background, holding a Ph.D. in integrated biomedical sciences and a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame. She carried out her doctoral research in the lab of M. Sharon Stack at Harper Cancer Research Institute studying the impact of age and parity on ovarian cancer metastasis. Liz is a member of the Graduate Career Consortium and the Society of Catholic Scientists. She is also the Staff Advisor to the Graduate Consulting Club.

In-Person and Virtual Schedule

The Graduate Career Services team will be on different in-person and virtual schedules during the 20-21 school year for appointments to minimize the amount of staff in our office on any given day due to the current health situation. Virtual appointments will also be available on days staff are in the office. You can schedule appointments and view Liz's availability through our career management system "Handshake". Feel free to email her directly if you have any questions or are having any challenges with finding times in the system. If you choose to meet in-person, please make sure to view the new Graduate Career Services appointment protocol for in-person appointments.
